How to Make a Claim

At Charles Insurance we believe that the service you receive when you make a claim is the most important part of our job.  This is the main reason for buying insurance in the first place.

These days many insurance companies like to have claims reported to them via their dedicated claims help lines, the advantage to you is that these are often manned 24hours a day 365 days a year, which means that you can get help when you need it without waiting until the next business day.

Your first port of call when you need to make a claim should be your policy document which will contain instructions for making a claim, this can be as simple as phoning a helpline, or in some cases (like professional indemnity policies) may involve making a notification in writing.  Checking your policy document will help to make sure that the correct method is followed, this will help deliver the best service for your claim.

In some cases there are no specific instructions in the policy document, or despite the best efforts of the writer, they may be confusing or unclear, in which case we are here to help.

If you have lost your documents, or need help making you claim, phone the office and ask for Karen.
